Although it's sponsored by American Express, and supported by large corporations such as Amazon, Google, Clear Channel and countless others, the 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday will provide the antidote to Black Friday madness. Over 2.5 million have "liked" the event nationwide on Facebook, pledging to get out to support their local businesses. Groovy, yes?

S.F. businesses taking part in tomorrow's event include Aquarius Records, Double Punch, Green Apple, Harputs, Laszlo, New People, Park Life, and many more. Check out the event's San Francisco shopping guide (PDF) for the full list. All of the merchants listed will be offering discounts and food/drink specials.

Look for the sign pictured at right in the windows of your favorite neighborhood merchants for special deals tomorrow, too.
