SoMa / Stabbing: A heavily intoxicated 21-year-old was stabbed in the chest and butt at around 2:15 a.m. Sunday near Sixth and Natoma, presumably after partying at a nearby club. He was so hammered he was unable to provide police with any details of the incident, and he was taken to S.F. General to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. [Appeal]
Union Square / Shoplifting: State Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi (D-Hayward) was nabbed on October 25 for trying to walk out of Neiman-Marcus with three items worth $2,445 that she hadn't paid for. A spokesman says she was too busy texting on her two cellphones and it was all a misunderstanding. She's appearing in court today. [Appeal]
Mission / Stabbing A 14-year old teen was stabbed twice while walking near 24th Street and Mission on Tuesday morning. He is expected to survive. No arrests have been made. [KRON 4]
South San Francisco / Homicide: A 20-year-old man, identified as Michael Richard Pacifico of San Bruno, was found bleeding from his face and lying on a sidewalk in South San Francisco Friday night. Police are still investigating the cause of death, and the possible crime involved. [Examiner]
Millbrae / Purse Theft, Resale: A naughty neighbor was stealing FedEx packages in San Jose, and the victim, who lost a $1,400 purse and a pair of shoes off her doorstep, decided to go hunting for the items on Craigslist. She found them, and arranged to meet the seller at a Millbrae bank, where she had police assist her in the sting. The alleged thief, her neighbor, claims the items were given to her.
