Around 10 p.m. Saturday night, Police officers responding to reports of a shooting near Thomas Avenue in the Bayview found a 21-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a liquor store on Keith Street. According to the SFPD, the victim was shot several times on the street before entering the liquor store. The victim, identified as Nick Frantin of San Francisco, was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 11:30 p.m.
The shooting is currently under investigation with the SFPD homicide department. No arrests have been made yet. The shooting marks the city's 40th homicide of 2011.
