Hip Hop video blog VladTV has posted a video [embedded below] in which rapper The Game is asked about his feelings on gays in the entertainment business. "Game don't have a problem with gay people," he says, speaking in the third person. Rather, "Game has a problem with people that are pretending not to be gay that are gay." And why is that? Because according to (ahem) The Game, the out and proud ones aren't the ones spreading AIDS. Intriguing. Go on, Mr. The Game:
The number one issue with that is you could be fooling somebody and you could give them AIDS and they can die. That in-the-closet shit is real scary. We gotta get into the seriousness of it, it's just not fair to other people. That shit spreads because that girl that you might be fooling might leave you and go find another dude who ain't gay and give him the disease and he goes and cheats on her, so it's an ongoing thing. So it ain't cool to be in the closet. So if you're gay, just say you gay. Be gay and be proud.
Hungry for a controversy, TMZ picked up on the video and pointed out that it seems Game is implying that all gay men have AIDS and that they should come out so the breeders know who to avoid. Or something.
Obviously, The Game wasn't exactly jazzed about the gossip blog allegedly twisting his words around and stood up for himself by hiring a lawyer hopping on Twitter and spewing out a string of tonedeaf tweets. Like this one we'll call "The Oprah Defense":
RT @TMZ: @TheGame believes closeted gay men spread AIDS by "fooling" women to have sex with them http://t.co/HdtdBPw - they do, ask @Oprah
Or the classic, "but I love Elton John" move:
Look, @TMZ its simple: if your GAY be GAY !!! I don't have a problem with GAY people... I like Elton John's music a lot. #StraightTweet
And when all else fails, remind everyone of your preference for the ladyparts:
Now back to this BIG plate of pussy I was just about to eat. (stuffs napkin in shirt)
So where did we land on this one? Oh right, The Game thinks you should be proud of your sexual preference, he just thinks it means you have AIDS too.
