Parkmerced / Robbery: A 21-year-old man, pretending first to be a police officer (perhaps to get his victim to stop walking), ended up chasing down and beating up a 19-year-old man in the 300 block of Font Boulevard just after 3 a.m. yesterday morning, and stealing his necklace. Visitacion Valley / Pretend Guns: We don't totally get this one, but... Police arrested a guy for using his hands to simulate guns shooting at them as they passed by. [Examiner]
Sunset / Car Scam: Two guys tried to scam an 81-year-old man out of $2,000 by claiming he had hit a car several blocks away from his home. They pointed to a red mark on his car and showed him the car they he supposedly hit. The man resisted their attempts to get money, saying he wanted to call police and report the accident to his insurance company. An adjuster later revealed that the red mark came from a crayon.
