As SFist informed you last week, if you want to play a part in determining what BART's new Fleet of the Future will look like, then head over to Justin Herman Plaza today between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for their Beta Testing Lab. They'll be getting participants' input on potential new seating configurations and materials, among other things.

BART is expected to begin building the new fleet this year, which will hopefully go into service in 2017. So, it looks like we'll have to deal with the same old-same old for another several years.

Updated: BART's been holding the testing labs all over the bay during the past week. An additional lab was recently added, which will be the final one, taking place in Santa Clara tomorrow from 3 to 6 p.m., at the VTA Great Mall Transit Center Park and Ride Lot (1193 Great Mall Parkway, Milpitas).
