On Tuesday afternoon, a 5-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl where whisked to San Francisco General Hospital after tumbling out of a second-story window on the 2600 block of Newhall Street. While their exact condition has not been made public, they were awake when emergency crews arrived at the scene. No word yet on what exactly led to their trip the window.

This comes on the heels of two wee ones who fell out a window in Petaluma on Monday. SF Examiner reports:

The San Francisco accident is the second this week in the region in which children fell from a window. A 2-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother fell from a second story window at a house in Petaluma on Monday. In that incident, the young children had climbed onto a dresser in their playroom and fell out the window after leaning on a screen.

The Petaluma kids survived the fall with only minor injuries.
