Ah summer. What is it, really? Kate Bolton, bartender at Michael Mina, created this bright and refreshing drink to celebrate the season that takes a long time to arrive in our fair city. It mixes some sweet apple flavors with the herbal notes of gin and a floral touch of violet liqueur. Simple, elegant, and strong enough even for a guy to like, sans flower garnish.
Summer in the City
1.5 oz. apple-infused gin
1 oz. dry Reisling
0.5 oz Cocchi Americano
0.5 oz. Tempus Fugit Liqueur Violette
Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a small coupe (or a dessert wine glass) and garnish with a nasturtium flower or other edible flower.
