Visitacion Valley Fire: One person was injured in a kitchen fire that broke out near Teddy Ave and Rutland Street around 10:15 p.m. last night. The homeowner had apparently fallen asleep while cooking, but fire crews were able to retrieve him and he only suffered minor smoke inhalation. The fire in the two-story wood building was under control by 10:40 p.m. [BCN/Appeal]
Suspicious Mission Fires: Two separate fires in the Mission late last night: a stack of clothing was set on fire on Harrison Street around 12:45 a.m. Later, a couch was spotted burning on the sidewalk next to a parked car on Valencia around 2 a.m. SFFD is looking in to whether they were related, but it sounds like simple mischief.
