Looking for a fun lunch-time activity this week? Or perhaps you're a non-9-to-5er? Check out a few day-time events happening this week.
Rotunda Dance Series/Friday: The fabulous Monique Jenkinson/Fauxnique will spice up your lunch hour on Friday with a solo show designed to be viewed both from above and close up amidst the grandeur of San Francisco City Hall.
Yoga for an Honest Change/Monday through Thursday: FuncheapSF (via SFBG) gives us a heads-up about Yoga Tree's donation-based yoga, which is in partnership with Honest Tea, happening today through Thursday at their Valencia Street location. All proceeds will benefit The Art of Yoga Project, which works to empower women in the Juvenile System.
Thursday Films at Noon: Did you know the main library has free classic film screenings at Noon on Thursdays? Well, now you do. This week's flick is Wife vs. Secretary, a comic tale starring Clark Gable and a young Jimmy Stewart in which Van and Linda Stanhope’s marriage is threatened by Van’s beautiful secretary.
St. Stupid's Day Parade/Friday: It's back -- Friday is April Fool's Day, in which the local, lovable fools come out in their best quirky costumes, bang pots and pans, visit various government agencies, and make lots of puns. There's no better way to celebrate the annual day of fools.
