As you can tell by now, SFist has changed its look. You like? We think it's rather keen. We also hope that, in addition to having a swank new look, your ride here will be an even smoother, more pleasurable one. From today through the end of the month, the default view mode for SFist will be the standard blog format you're looking at now. On April 1, we'll default to the new design, but you'll still have the option to view the site in the current format.

A few redesign highlights:

1) Simplify: We want to eliminate any extraneous elements that distract from the content. A lot of sites seem to go for a "more is more" design aesthetic these days - we want to go the opposite way.
