We've come to admire District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim. Mainly for lightning rod reasons - as of late, she has certain wonk sects in a tizzy over only God knows what; being an attractive woman, presumably - she's garnered a spark that could prove combustible. Good or bad, only time will tell. Whatever. That said, Kim will make a public appearance tonight at 6 pm The Butler & the Chef (155 South Park) in South Park, hosted by the South Park Improvement Association. (Word to the wise: If you're a reporter, you'd better hide your spiral notepads and laptops.)

In related news, Kim and Mayor Ed Lee will host a budget forum on Wednesday, March 16, from 5 pm - 7pm at the Tenderloin Community School (627 Turk Street).
