San Franciscans love to complain about things, we know this. The Chamber of Commerce probably knows this too (unless they are completely out of touch), so in order to quantify exactly which complaints were the most bothersome to San Franciscans they took it upon themselves to survey the locals about "the city's most pressing issue". Here's how the poll of 500 registered voters broke down:

Pollsters also asked respondents to name the city's most pressing issue and allowed them to name more than one. Thirty-two percent mentioned homelessness, beating out jobs and the economy (26 percent), the city budget (21 percent), education (21 percent) and Muni (17 percent).

So there you go, despite Gavin Newsom spending 7 years moving 12,210 homeless people off the streets of San Francisco (says the Chronicle), homelessness is still a much bigger problem than Muni.

Thinking that the folks out there in the Sunset might have a different response to the survey, we reached out to the San Francisco-based research company that handled the polling to get some insight in to their methodology, but have yet to hear back. In the meantime, you can peruse the full survey results [PDF Warning] if you're ok with thinking 500 people out of a total population of over 800,000 (we checked) is a representative sample size. And of course, informal, comment section-based polls are always welcome.
