KUSF fans can stream a live broadcast happening at Amoeba via the legendary WFMU.com from Noon to 3 p.m. today featuring KUSF DJs Irwin, Carolyn, Stereo Steve, Jantine, and DJ Schmeejay, who was in the middle of his show last month when the plug was pulled on the 90.3FM transmitter. Or, if you're in the New York/New Jersey area, tune your proverbial dial to WFMU's frequency at 91.1FM from 3 to 6 p.m. EST. (What's that, you still have a radio with a dial? Good on you.)
The folks at WFMU are handing over their airwaves in honor of the continued fight to save KUSF, which is about to be sold by the University of San Francisco to the Classical Public Radio Network. Ken Freedman of WFMU, which fought and won a similar battle themselves several years ago, is currently helping KUSF with its FCC paperwork opposing the pending sale.
