IndieFest opens (the Dude abides), and Sketchfest closes with back-to-back events at the Castro: True Stories 25th Anniversary with David Byrne, featuring a screening and tribute to the cool and quirky movie musical, followed by Idol Worship: An Evening with Cloris Leachman, hosted by Peaches Christ and featuring a rare screening of High Anxiety.

That Yahoo Bus Stop Derby thingie that was going on has finally finished, and North Beach came away with the victory. As a reward, OK Go is performing at a Free Party atop the SF Art Institute roof. Good times!
