The Tender points us to this hypnotic film by artist and filmmaker Scott Hammel, featuring time-lapse footage of 24 hours in Hammel's life shot with a fish-eye lens last July. Much of the Tenderloin area is captured in the film, and we love how the grit of our 'hood (TL, represent!) is transformed into these richly textured and interwoven layers. The night scenes, which appear to be in the Mission, are equally mesmerizing.

Bonus points for featuring an original soundtrack. (We were afraid we'd hear an Air song again.)
