East Oakland / Driveby Shooting: Six men were wounded last night in a shooting near 89th Ave. and D Street in Oakland -- including a man who lay in bed watching TV in a nearby apartment who caught a stray bullet in the back. Bayview / Shooting: Two male victims, aged 44 and 48, were shot last night around 8 p.m. at the corner of Fitzgerald Avenue and Ingalls Street by an unknown assailant. The suspect jumped out of a Honda sedan and shot 10 rounds, only managing to hit one victim in the back and one in the ankle. Both are expected to survice. [Examiner]
Point Reyes / Manhunt: A suspect in a possibly gang-related New Year's Eve stabbing in Santa Rosa -- which left one man stabbed in the face and neck -- eluded capture Monday night after being spotted hiding out along the Point Reyes National Seashore, near A Ranch. Police searched for 18-year-old Erick Farias Gonzalez for six hours Monday night to no avail. [Marin IJ]
