FILM: A onetime SF denizen and “One Woman Pixar” (as coined by Wired Magazine), Nina Paley, expands the artistic boundaries of animation with Sita Sings the Blues, which is animated in a dazzling mix of traditional and collage animation styles and backed by a soundtrack from legendary 1920s jazz singer Annette Hanshaw. The film is being screened as part of a fundraiser for the Red Vic.
