21-year-old Walter Sayles went to speak with the Oakland police about being shot at around 5 a.m. yesterday morning. Cops started speaking with Sayles about some robberies that were happening in the area, and Sayles ended up admitting his involvement in over 30 of them, in Oakland, San Leandro, and elsewhere.

Per the Tribune: "Police said Sayles, who sometimes was with an accomplice, mainly robbed businesses but on occasion also would rob clerks and customers of valuables. Sayles told police that some of the business employees recognized him from previous robberies and would hand over money without being asked."
