The latest murders in a string of fowl-play occurred over the Thanksgiving holiday, when a custodian discovered the bodies of two strangled chickens on the campus of Concord Elementary School. According to BCN/CBS5, Police surmised that the on-campus chicken coop had been pried open and the two deceased birds were choked to death, "but not otherwise mutilated." Four other chickens were found running loose in the halls.
Concord PD currently has no leads on the murders, but these two add to the death toll in this current rash of Bay Area fowl torture which currently includes one swan, and countless seagulls. When will the Bay Area be safe for birds again? [BCN/CBS5]
