It's Wednesday. You know what that means.

San Francisco Bay Guardian

Today, we open up first to the Guardian, and their cover story about state efforts to improve water quality in Sacramento River delta, and in the Bay, and on the causes of the increasingly poor water quality which has to do with salt runoff from irrigation in the San Joaquin Valley... and now we're asleep.

Steven T. Jones writes about ranked choice voting, and how Jean Quan and (probably) Malia Cohen won their races in this election.

Arts:
There's a piece about the Garage (975 Howard) and the diverse group of 120 artists who have residencies there each year; a review of the final installment of three group art shows about Huckleberry Finn; a dance review of Ampey! at CounterPULSE; something about Hungarian movies at the Roxie; and Marke B. pens an ode to the N-Owl and recommends some music and club nights.

Also, we've got the alt.sex column, in which Andrea Nemerson pretty much gives a recently wed, former 40-year-old virgin more reasons to kill herself because she doesn't enjoy sex; Tim Redmond once again editorializes about the interim mayor and the idea of a "caretaker" progressive mayor who wouldn't seek re-election; also, he discusses the process of picking the mayor by way of a public group job interview, and he suggests some interview questions; a story about the Norton brothers, two of the most successful pot dispensary operators in the area who are facing federal gun charges; a piece about Clean Power SF and potential PG&E "thuggery".
