Here's another story about a Texas public official making good on a World Series bet: Yesterday, Dallas Area Rapid Transit President Gary Thomas dressed in Giants gear to sing "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" on BART during the Monday morning commute. Inexplicably, "He was flanked by Samoan dancers and the St. Mary's Drum and Bugle Corp., and handed riders a treat known as a Texas Gem." When reached for comment, Google had no idea what a "Texas Gem" was.
