Measure L, the Sit/Lie law, looks to have passed with 53% of the city voting yes to outlaw sitting or lying on sidewalks between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Sure, the whole issue of enforcement (which will likely be driven by area businesses, as this proposition was driven by Haight Street merchants), remains to be seen. But there you have it, folks. S.F. is drawing a line in the sand when it comes to sidewalks.
Proposition G, requiring the Muni operators' union to negotiate with the city, as other labor groups do, also passed.
