9 Shot In Halloween Party Mess In Oakland

Just after midnight Saturday, a gunman opened fire on the crowd at a big costume party at this historic Sweet's Ballroom in downtown Oakland. Nine people were hit in all, and all are in hospitalized in stable condition.

The party was called Fright Fest, and attracted a 18+, college-aged crowd of at least several hundred. Police aren't saying what might have motivated the shooting, and the gunman remains at large.
