This week, though it's been a warm one, we discovered a delicious new fall cocktail on the menu at Perbacco. It combines several of our favorite flavors -- bourbon, basil, apple -- into a perfectly balanced concoction that would serve you well on a cold, or even a slightly off-warm evening.
Bourbonmela
1 ½ oz Basil Hayden bourbon
½ oz Clear Creek apple brandy
½ oz lemon juice
1 oz fresh apple juice
Dash of peach bitters
In a mixing glass, muddle about three basil leaves and add ice and liquids. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with basil leaf.
