This morning SFist returns to one of our favorite beats: local children consuming marijuana and other drugs by accident or on purpose. 19-year-old Marisela Guadalupe Barraza of South San Francisco pleaded not guilty to charges that she willingly allowed her four-year-old daughter to eat a pot brownie, according to the San Mateo County Times. She's being held in lieu of $7,500 bail, and she has her sister to blame for her incarceration.
Marisela claims her daughter ate some of the brownie before she could stop her, but after bringing her over to her sister's house Sunday night, and after the sister noticed the kid was acting drugged up, Marisela defended herself in part by saying marijuana ought to be legal anyway. The next morning, the sister took the young girl to the hospital without Marisela's knowledge, and got her sis tossed in jail. [SMCT]
