Update: The death was ruled a suicide.

A man was struck and killed by the 47 Van Ness bus on Saturday evening at South Van Ness and Market. Some witnesses say they saw him lunge in front of the bus, but another witness over at the Examiner said it looked like he tripped and fell. The man, who has not been identified, was said to be about 24 years old.

The man's body was laying in the street for quite some time, and many passersby were subjected to the gory scene, including a moment when the tarp had blown off the body.
