Back in January, we reported how San Francisco International would eventually offer free wifi this year in lieu of the current $7.99 connection fee. Well, Christmas has come early. It's now available!
“Ensuring free and unfettered access to the Internet will keep SFO at the cutting edge of international travel as well as the information superhighway,” said Mayor Gavin Newsom earlier this year.
While we are the land of the Google, this hardly makes SFO cutting edge. Many airports already offer free wifi, including Boise, Idaho as pointed out by a commenter back in January.
