The mother of the toddler who was allegedly tossed into traffic on Saturday insists that the father would never do such a thing. Although a police officer and several eyewitnesses stated otherwise, Elena Bartholomew - who told KTVU her daughter is "none the worse for wear," except for massive scrapes on her forehead and her back - wasn't shaken and then thrown into traffic by her manic depressive father, 21-year-old John Taylor Jr. of Oakland. "He loves his daughter...I know he loves his daughter...whether he's manic depressive or not," she says. Taylor was booked on suspicion of child endangerment and resisting arrest. He will appear in court tomorrow with Bartholomew by his side. [KTVU]
