Via the 'Gate today we learn that Another Planet Entertainment, the folks who do all the programming for the Fox in Oakland, Outside Lands, and Treasure Island, have just signed a deal with the City to take over the enormous Bill Graham Civic Auditorium at Civic Center.

This will make the place the biggest full-time concert venue in town, and it means we might get some bigger acts appearing closer to home than, say, Concord or the Oakland Arena... though admittedly this space is still not exactly arena- or stadium-sized. Still, Lady Gaga played there last year!

Another Planet signed a 20-year lease on the space and has agreed to make $10 million in improvements on the building.
