SFist reader (and Editorial Director of Frommers.com) David Lytle snapped these pics of Gizmo (the lovable, hungry-after-dark star of Gremlins) dotting a boarded building along the Central Market Corridor.

Lytle explains:

A street artist has been adding wheatpaste versions of Gizmo from the movie Gremlins to the boarded-up store fronts along mid-Market Street over the past two weeks. First there was one, then another, then several more, then larger versions of the original - well, you get the idea, they’re populating like gremlins.

Populating? Perhaps someone got them wet. [crickets]

Anyone know the name of the crafty artist here posting Gremlins art?
