This weekend is packed with the usual spring-time fun and free/cheap events for all ages. Dogs, goats, playing in the street, planet Earth, and the fire department. Fun times!
This heart-breaking story sheds light on how there are babies in our very own city who are in desperate need of diapers. Local nonprofit, Help a Mother Out (HAMO), is on a mission to meet this need. HAMO, who have collected 163,047 diapers since they opened in May 2009, are having their 1st Anniversary Extravaganza and Benefit a week before Mother's Day, May 2nd 9th, with fun for the whole family. All of the proceeds will benefit HAMO's Bay Area diaper program.
