Two women have been arrested this morning after 19 protesters took over the Cesar Chavez Student Center at San Francisco State University. According to student paper Golden Gate [X]Press, "[t]hey appeared to be protesting the disciplinary sanctions that were placed upon the students who took over the Business building in December 2009 ... Two were arrested and booked at this time."
Last week, students angry about the university's decision to "charge 11 students $8,100 for damages incurred during a December occupation of the business school" also tried to occupy the Administrative Building. This failed effort resulted in a mild round of police-vs.-student brutality.
