We haven't posted a column in a few weeks, but we're still here! Parents, we want to hear from you. Keep sending us your links, stories, and tips. Tell us: What do you like to do with your kids in the spring/summer? Have any funny kids-on-Muni stories? Etc.
We just learned about URBIA SF, who seek to expose us to the "nooks and crannies" "sprinkled across our urban landscape." They're putting on two fun adventures on Saturday -- the "Islands in the Sky" treasure hunt and "Seeking California in a World of Plants" at the San Francisco Botanical Garden/Strybing Arboretum. Check out SFist This Weekend for lots more fun family stuff going on!
Most of you in the know are already well-acquainted with how awesome the library activities are. We've become regulars at Baby Rhyme Time, which is absolutely adorable. There are also story and music times for toddlers and preschoolers, and journaling, crafts, and poetry for teens.
A couple of years ago, SFist highlighted Kim Gill, a local musician who teaches guitar lessons and performs once or twice a week outside the Duboce Park playground (often on Fridays). The kids love him. We haven't been to the park in a couple of years though. Anyone know if he's still around? Keep an eye out for him if you're in the area!
