Mayor Gavin's Newsom veto of an eviction law will stand after the Board of Supervisor's came up one vote shy of overturning. The law would have kept landlords from evicting tenants in houses built after the 1979 rent control laws except in cases of breach of a lease or failure to pay rent.
This means tenants be evicted without much cause, and on the flip side, it means tenants could be kicked out for being obnoxious.
