ART: It's the bi-monthly Mission Arts and Performance Project (MAPP), in which 100 artists transform garages, cafes, studios, gardens, street corners, and local businesses into makeshift arts and performance spaces. The event occurs in two parts, The Family MAPP from 1 to 4 p.m., a full afternoon of activities for youths, including mural and sidewalk art, and Evening MAPP from 7 p.m. to Midnight, includes art exhibits, music, poetry, dance and film in multiple locations. FILM: Other Cinema presents Barry Jenkins: Shades of the City, as part of their ongoing series of experimental cinema in San Francisco every Saturday night at Artists' Television Access. Jenkins will premiere six shorts, Little Brown Boy, My Josephine, Bruce, A Young Couple, One Shot Film, and Tall Enough, before screening his much-lauded first feature, Medicine for Melancholy.

MUSIC: Bluegrass/noise/conceptual art band Caroliner and special guests HANS GRÜSEL'S KRANKENKABINET, vsls, rigormortis clitaurus present an evening of experimental music. SF Weekly says that Caroliner's live show is something to behold.
