This photo comes to us via SF Citizen, along with the missive, "You know that Autumn has come to San Francisco when you see a crescent moon inside of the nine red stars that make up the Sutro Constellation." OK, laugh if you want, but despite the blog's linking to a post about the Sutro Tower, we still didn't get it and spent five minutes searching around to see if there was such a constellation, and wondering how you could get a photo of nine red stars without touching it up. We would like to correct SF Citizen however that it's not "red stars at night, sailor's delight" but rather, "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning." But maybe they knew that too.
