"Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.
We dare you to watch the Courage Campaign's Fidelity video and not get all weepy. We were able to keep it together until it got to the big crowd shots around the end, and then suddenly there was something in our eye.
March 5 is the big day -- that's when the Supreme Court will hear arguments about Prop 8. You can read the schedule here. There's a lot of work to do before the hearing, and Equality California's prepping for the big day with five actions -- now's a crucial time to spread the word about how much pain Prop 8 will inflict when it takes away all those marriages. And the Peninsula Marriage Equality Coalition has a bunch of handy workshops coming up about how to persuade allies.
And speaking of spreading the word, an excellent article in this week's Stranger points out that a key component in achieving lasting civil equality is an educated electorate. To that end, we hope you're participating in Tell3, a brilliant campaign to educate your family and friends about why civil rights matter to you personally. "We used to think coming out would win us our rights," the site says. "Now we know it takes more than that." Get to work, everybody!
