Well. Looks who's got a big ego now. My word. Pilot hero Chesley Sullenberger, who saved passengers of Flight 1549 by flying in to the Hudson River and currently being hailed as the second coming of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, has backed away from an interview with morning TV piece of tail Matt Lauer. It seems he will be willing to do media interviews "when the time is right" -- i.e., when Oprah throws six figures at him. Sullenberger and several other flight crew members have asked the press to "respect their desire to refrain from participating in interviews until further notices" while the National Transportation Safety Board investigates the accident." (Come on, Sully. This is one of the few times anyone is interested in anyone from Danville.) In the meantime, in an effort to hide from the glaring media spotlight, Sullenberger is over in Washington DC getting ready to attend tomorrow's inaugural festivities. Anyway, we demand more Sully!
