Coco-Luxe (1673 Haight): Makes their own confections from truffles to marshmallows to rich hot cocoa. Also, their package is super-duper cute with pink and browns, so the box alone is sure to wow.

Design Within Reach (455 Jackson): Who says design is dead? Make your loved one's home look like The Learning Channel threw up all over the place with gifts bought at this "affordable" home furnishings store.

Ladita (827 Cortland): Even if you have a penis, this new clothing store in Bernel Heights will impress you each and every time. With a motto of "fashion first, eco-friendly, of course...," it's one of the few eco-friendly fashion retail stores in San Francisco that doesn't, well, suck. What's more, it's up on top of Bernel Hill on Courtland, perfect to dash into before getting smashed at Wild Side West or...well, we're not sure what else there is to do on Bernel Hill. but you really need to check this place out. Ma Maison (592 Third Street): Psychotically cheap French imports (drinking glasses with adorable goldfish on them! flower-printed hammers! cute muted French colored everything! milk soap!) is the place SoMa to get your home accents. Bonus?: the lady who owns the place is a delight. Give her your money. Now.
