Cafe de la Paz Runs Contest for Hungry, Amorous Kern County Same-Sex Couples

Cafe de la Paz Runs Contest for Hungry, Amorous Kern County Same-Sex Couples

Aw. Well, this is just downright sweet. And smart. You see, Cafe de la Paz, which has received a three-star rating by the Yelp mafia, is throwing a contest for Kern County queer couples only. The nuevo Latino and tapas restaurant is inviting Kern County to win a marriage ceremony and a small reception dinner at the Berkeley restaurant.

Russell Bass, owner of Berkeley's Cafe de la Paz, will run an ad in the conservative county's paper today [confirmation of Kern County internet access TK], which will read, ahem, "Have no fear; shed no tear; bring your wedding plans up here."

Aw.

The dinner will be good for up to 10 guests. So, have at it, Kern County lovebirds! You can read the contest ad here.
