Before we launch into today's Ed Jew news, we just want to say -- have you guys seen this awesome debate on the political chatboard the Wall about whether our use of the term "Tapioca Ed" is racist towards Asian-Americans? Here's the line we love! "Instead of leveraging a bull*** website on what's offensive, why don't you ask someone Asian American?" Let's!
Okay, onto the latest! Tapioca Ed's had enough! His lawyer, Steven Gruel, has fired back a two-page letter to the SF City Attorney's office in response to yesterday's request, calling the City Attorney's office biased (was it the use of the word "tapioca"?), saying they were "sandbagging" poor Ed (why would they need sandbags? Guy has no water.), trying to score "public opinion points" at the supervisor's expense, and concluding:
Not only has your office displayed a degree of unprofessionalism which I have never witnessed, but the City Attorney's actions further underscore what is discussed on the streets -- that this 'investigation' is politically driven against the supervisor. (emphasis added)
Discussed on the streets? All we hear discussed on the streets about Ed Jew is: ha ha ha ha ha ha!!
