--Stop by the Exploratorium for a talk about keeping zoo animals and pets mentally stimulated. There will be live animals! 1 p.m., 3601 Lyon Street (inside the Palace of Fine Arts), $14 gets you in the museum.
--It's Amoebapalooza at 12 Galaxies tonight! Your favorite Amoeba staffers play in their own bands, at 15 minutes apiece. $7, 8 p.m., 2565 Mission (x 23rd).
--Asian-American 'zine Hyphen hosts their Mr. Hyphen contest, to honor awesome local Asian-American males. $20, 7 p.m., at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center (388 Ninth Street Suite 290, x Franklin).
--Cape Verdean world music legend Cesaria Evora performs tonight at the Masonic Center for SFJAZZ. The cheapo tickets are $25. 8 p.m., California and Taylor.
--And, as part of the Queer Arts Fest, Micia Mosely is performing , a funny solo piece about Black lesbian communities in the Bay Area. $8-15, 7 p.m., SomArts Theater (934 Brannan x 8th).
