Apparently, around 6 in the morning, four gunmen rode up to the Pinole Safeway and approached an employee. They then stuck a gun in the employees back, apparently while the guy was on the phone, and told him to take them to his manager.
What happened next is a little hazy but we're sure it'll come out soon enough. All we know now is that when the cops got the call they sped on up to the Safeway and prepared for a hostage situation. Around 8:15, a SWAT team entered the store without knowing if the robbers were still there and found five employees barricaded in various offices in the store. The perpetrators we're nowhere to be found as one eyewitness thinks they sped off in a getaway car. So far, the only casualty is an employee who was shot in the leg.
