Actually, the scientists say that there's small earthquakes happening all the time and it's just that a few of these were more noticeable than others. The good news is it's not a harbinger of the Big One. The bad news is that it's not something that will take the pressure off and keep us from having the Big One.

Still, this won't help UC Berkeley and their plans to build a new athletic center and other things seeing as it's either on or really close to the fault that's having the recent bout of hiccups. It is, however, a boon to stores selling bottled water and other stuff as people in Berkeley especially are getting a bit jumpy these days.
