What's that smell? Some building in the neighborhood of 19th and Mission seems to have caught very fragrantly on fire. We're not sure what's over there (a pawn shop, residential hotel, and curio peddler if the surrounding neighborhood is any indication) but whatever's burning actually smells rather nice. Fallish. Autumnal, even. Is it a warehouse full of crackling brown leaves? We're about five blocks away, and we're suddenly taken with an urge to go put on a scarf and rake something into a giant plastic bag decorated like a jack-o-lantern.
Any tips, readers? We can't get away from our day job to check it out ourselves. And now, we must return to eavesdropping on our coworker, an accountant, discussing his nascent novel with his literary agent who he thinks nobody knows about. ("It's perfect for the postmodern crowd," we just heard him say.)
