Our last move to make our travel easier and more stylish involved our pretending not to speak English to avoid conversation with our lecherous coachmate. Somehow, we suspect that that's not what they're talking about.

Oh, and congratulations to the Memorial To The Murdered Jews Of Europe for beating out Copenhagen's Royal Danish Opera House! Great to see that the solid design of a monument to the victims of years of genocide could top a place where people sing songs.
Where were we? Oh, yeah, our own DeYoung Museum topped honorable mention, Copenhagen's Ordrupgaard Museum (poor Copenhagen -- always the bridesmaid, never the bride!) with its "subtle and coherent" design.
Given that this might be one of the only places to appear in Travel + Leisure that we can afford to visit, this almost makes want to cast off our cafefully cultivated lowbrow image and go see us some damn art. Because, hey, "subtle and coherent"? Maybe we could learn something.
