We were looking at The Grateful Dogs alumni page, and we were happy to see that almost all of the dogs we've written about have found homes. We're totally not saying that we had anything at all to do with it -- but we will say that each dog we've written about has gotten to us, and we're so pleased to imagine them with their adoptive families. Now we just need to find a home for our pal Racer.

We have a great walking-workout buddy for you! Racer is not up to charging around at the moment as he was overfed and not given exercise in his previous home! That does not stop him from being a great "big" boy in many ways! This handsome Dal is looking for a good home where he can work off a few lbs. while keeping you company on walks and outings.

This boy is a happy, sweet fellow who loves taking leash walks and getting outside the house. He's a good-looking black spotted Dally with a smiling sweet face befitting his sweet personality. Racer is great at the dog park with other dogs (neutered or spayed), and he loves people too! He knows the commands "sit," "down," and perhaps "stay." He is living with a wonderful foster family and is happy with adults, older kids (14 & 17) and the two resident Dalmatians! He is learning to play tug and is happy to settle down in soft places.

Racer likes to cozy up for some good petting is content sleeping on his dog bed next to his foster mom.The vet gave him a clean bill of health; good blood workup, teeth cleaned, vaccinated and microchipped.

His hearing and vision are good. Racer is currently on a weight loss regime that involves learning to eat dog food, and not people food. Racer is ready for a new home where he will need to continue with his weight loss program and he will reward you with and abundance of affection and devotion.
