Pretty much they continue to do the good work they're known for - providing a comfortable place to stay for parents and families of seriously ill children undergoing long-term treatment in San Francisco hospitals. Since it opened in 1989, the SF Ronald McDonald House has helped 3,000 families. The Ronald McDonald house at Stanford has been open since 1979 and helps 1,000 families a year and recently doubled their capacity.
They will of course accept your donation - of time and/or money. And the SF house is preparing for a winter gala on December 8th. Tickets are $100. One day, SFist hopes to be a fancy corporate sponsor for these things, spending thousands of dollars for our own table at charity galas all across the city. Alas, not yet.
No yummy french fries were harmed in the making of this post.
