This week's adoptable pet (he'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from Grateful Dogs Rescue. Any shelter or resuce worker will tell you that here in the Bay Area we have very serious issues with abandoned or unwanted pit bulls with no behavorial issues whatsoever. Unlike the Palo Alto Daily News, we believe that responsible guardianship and training of these dogs is possible, and encourage any of you who are considering adding a larger dog to your like to consider Bingo or another like him.
Bingo is a neutered male golden retriever/pit mix, about 9 months old and just a big goofy pup. This sweetheart loves people and other dogs, but he can get a bit mouthy. Bingo is very confident and needs boundaries. He will do best in a home with a commited adopter who will provide basic behavior training, leadership, and lots of exercise for this high-energy boy. Older children (15 years +) OK.
